Bluejay, you could shorten it to Jay. Or Lark or Wren both seem feminine without being too common. Rhea is a kind of ostrich. Wikipedia has a list of birds' common names, if none of the ones I suggested fit. Are you looking for something readers will recognize as a bird, or is this just something for you as the author to smile about?

Wren sounds beautiful. I think I’d consider that one greatly. :)

Calling all writer’s! Or just creative folk.

I’m currently writing a book based on my love for the idea of witchcraft. It’s fictitious with fictional characters and all of that wonderful stuff. Anyway, my problem is that I want to have names for each other my main characters in representation to the elements.

Example: My main character’s name will be Ember and the element of Fire would be her preference and comfort.

I had ideas for the other names but none I’m 100% sure about using. I’ll share them.

Lily = Earth

Avon = Water

Right now nothing for Air. I was thinking of maybe a name of a bird. Something not too well known like Cardinal or something. Something that sounds like a fit name for a girl. No, not Raven.

Please & thank you. :)
